Workouts in Review: No More Trouble Zones

What is it?

No More Trouble Zones is a 55-minute total body, endurance style, strength routine. This workout combines many upper and lower body exercises to get the most out of your workout time. For example, you hold a squat while doing tricep kickbacks. Overall I thought it was a very effective toning routine.

Who is it for?

This workout is considered intermediate and I would agree with the rating. The moves are basic but some require a knowledge of proper form. Jillian does give form pointers throughout the workout which are helpful. A few of the exercises I had to modify because I have lower back issues but it was easy to figure out.

What to expect:

Jillian runs you through a lot of different moves in a fairly short amount of time so your heart rate will climb a bit. The great news is that you don't need a lot of fancy equipment, just a few dumbbells and you're set to go. For a lighter weight workout this one did make me quite sore in the days to follow. Just make sure that you work your muscles again within 48 hours or that soreness will stick around longer. I liked the fact that this is an endurance workout because endurance workouts make your muscles more mobile. I found that when I lift heavy for too long I actually become weaker. This is a great workout to give you functional strength!

Since my gym membership is expiring soon (hubby says no $ :( ), I will be needing to get some DVD's ang the clip looks great. With the lil ones, I need an effective and multitaking routine.

Thanks for the review! I just tried "Banish fat, boost metabolism" via netflix, and it was so much fun! I ordered this one, but I think I'll switch it out for something that's more cardio oriented, as I prefer to do my resistance training at the gym.
